March in lockstep to my end
The stench of death hangs in the wind
From this plane I shall transcend

Cannot bear to turn my head
And look back to what's been lost
To look head on brings only dread
Reminds me of the heavy cost
Of birth..

Time it marches just one way
Down the path towards decay

The sands of time
Slip through my hands

The infinite extends
Beyond the mortal coil
Entrapped we all descend
Below the all consuming soil

Existence does not exist
Scaled against the lifeless void
Entropy must persist
What's been built must be destroyed

Caged into four dimensions
